Residual Waste

Before introducing or extending the separate waste collection system of organic waste or dry materials like plastic, metal, paper and glass, a lot of questions need to be addressed. Also, unknown quantities need to be identified in order to determine the best realisation for local characteristics.
The following questions are of particular relevance:

  • Which separately collected waste quantities are to be expected?

  • What kind of recycling possibilities are appropriate?

  • What effects does the proposed measure have on quantities and composition of, for example, residual waste?

Knowing the composition of residual waste is essential information for answering those questions. Sorting analyses of representative mixed waste are the most reliable method for receiving significant data. Depending on the objectives of such analyses, the scope of the analysis (waste streams that need to be analysed, material groups that need to be considered during sorting, necessary additional analyses on moisture content and calorific value) are tailored and adapted to your individual needs.
