cyclos GmbH was actively involved in developing the test criteria and creating the certification scheme.

The RecyClass certification scheme was introduced across Europe in 2019 to prove the traceability of the recyclate content from the recycling plant via the converter to the end product or packaging based on the EuCertPlast certification.

The certification scheme determines the origin of the recyclate and the percentage of the post-consumer or pre-consumer content.

The audit results are then summarised in a report and produced promptly. As a next step, RecyClass issues a certificate based on the report, which states the recyclate content and the origin of the products’ content.

RecyClass can be applied to end products and packaging.
